Etta had to had an emergency cesaeran done to whelp the pups. This is an exceptional litter of puppies from two dogs that we own and have trained ourselves. It is a repeat of our "W" litter. Both dogs are pets in our home that have passed advanced hunting tests, earned numerous conformation titles and both dogs are regularly hunted on wild games and used for guiding at a local hunting preserve. Etta passed three levels of NAVHDA testing (NA, UPT, UT). She has been one of the easiest dogs we have trained to hunt and she has been a certified therapy dog since she was a year old used to visit children at area schools and nursing homes. She has excellent conformation and an excellent coat with very dark eyes. Etta hunts both upland game and waterfowl. Etta Juwel, came from Wolfsburg’s Kennel, located in Lincoln, NE, which is owned by our mentor/partner, Tom McDonald, who first imported this breed into the United States in 1972. Both of Etta's parents are from two of the top breeders in Germany.
The sire of this litter is our proven German import, Zandor vom Fuchseck, who has consistently produced excellent hunting dogs. Zandor hunts upland game, waterfowl, furred animals as well as he has been trained to blood track. Zandor passed the VJP (German Hunt Test ) and the NAVHDA Utility Test when he was 19 months old and he has earned 9 SMCNA Sire Awards, more than any stud dog in the history of the SMCNA club. Zandor is an UKC Conformation Champion and an IABCA Honors Champion in Silver and was named the Best of the Rare Breeds at an IABCA show in 2016.
We only breed the highest quality Small Munsterlanders that have better than average test scores, natural hunting instincts and stable temperaments in the home. We regularly hunt our breeding stock on wild birds/game and we are always happy to have visitors see our dogs work in the field/water. We believe that breeders can't really promise great hunting dogs if they don't hunt their dogs and know how they perform in the field on wild game.
We want our puppies to go to the best homes possible so we ask prospective buyers to fill out a questionnaire before we will agree to sell them a puppy and we only sell our puppies to hunting homes. Puppies we sell are well socialized with people and other pets and they will have their first shots, be wormed, and are micro-chipped.
We are the only SMCNA breeder who has always offered a six year genetic health guarantee for every litter we have sold. Our puppies sell for $2200 - $2500 depending on the pairing. We evaluate all of our puppies' temperament and conformation before they are placed with their owners as well as our litters are raised in our home, well-socialized and introduced to gunfire, birds and water.
All of our puppies will be registered with NAVHDA as well as RGK pays for one year of membership to NAVHDA for our new puppy buyers. We sell to only responsible owners and utilize the "Breeding Restriction" registration offered by the NAVHDA registry. The puppies we sell are required to test in the NAVHDA Natural Ability test before they are 16 months old. We are happy to train and handle the pups in the Natural Ability Test for the owners if requested. NAVHDA (The North American Hunting Dog Association) is the foundation registry and testing organization used for the Small Munsterlander Club in America. By NAVHDA using a "standard" for testing purposes, Robingun Kennels can compare our Small Munsterlanders with other versatile breeds.
