We will be flying with Etta to the Netherlands in late December/January to do a live breeding with Aico.
We have seen Aico in person on two occasions and he is a wonderful dog in the home and in the field he is a bold hunter with a wonderful point and a great nose. The first litter of puppies produced from this pairing are some of the nicest SM's produced in the United States regarding conformation, hunting ability and temperament.
We only sell puppies to owners who hunt that also agree to test their dog in the NAVHDA Natural Ability test before it is 16 months old. Pups from this pairing will come with our six year genetic health guarantee and are registered with NAVHDA as well as RGK pays for our new puppy owner's first year's membership to NAVHDA. We take special care to ensure we have healthy puppies by using a reputable fertility vet for every breeding we do with our females that includes checking the male's semen prior to breeding and doing progesterone tests with the females. We take all of these extra steps with our pairings so we can determine the best time for breeding so we minimize any chance of having issues with puppy size or congenital defects.
We will select the registered names for the puppies but the owners may call their pup whatever name they choose.
We sell all of our pups with a NAVHDA breed restriction and we will not remove the restriction unless a dog has been approved for breeding by the SMCNA. We will also help our puppy buyers with training and testing and all of our puppy buyers receive a puppy training manual that Pam has created. Our goal as a breeder of Small Munsterlanders, thanks to the the assistance of Tom McDonald, is to breed only the best Small Munsterlanders true to the German FCI standards that are not only excellent hunting dogsbut excellent pets in the home. Tom McDonald is not only our mentor, but the first person in the United States to import the breed, as well as he is one of the founders of the Small Munsterlander Club of North America.
Two "D" litter pups: JIm Blaha and Doc, Pam and Etta, Tom Beall, DVM and Dyna at their NA Test. Both Doc and Dyna are now approved for breeding by the SMCNA.
